FAQ's

Is there a consultation fee? There is a consultation fee and the cost is $225.00. However, if you retain our services at your initial consultation we will waive any such fee.

What is a retainer? 
A retainer is most often a lump sum payment to the firm, made in advance of any work performed on your behalf. We generally do not handle any matter without a request for specific amount prior to starting work on your matter. The firm then deducts fees and costs from the retainer as they accrue during the course of the representation. Don't be surprised how quickly you can run through even a substantial retainer.

What is your retainer fee? 
The retainer fee charged will depend on the particularities of your case and the amount of work the attorney believes will need to be performed to resolve your matter. The retainer fee could be a couple of hundred to several thousands of dollars.

What are the types of fee arrangements do you offer? 
Hourly and Flat Fee.

Will you send me itemized bills on a monthly basis including detail of time spent on the case? 
Yes, our billing invoices are sent out frequently.

What is your policy regarding returning my phone calls?
We have a policy of contacting Clients within 24 hours of any (i.e. email, phone, letter) inquiry they may have.

Approximately how long will it take to resolve my case? 
It really depends on the type of case and issues involved. Uncontested Divorce cases can be resolved in a short as 31 days from the date of filing.

Where are you admitted to practice law? 
The State of Georgia, Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and The United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

What is Business Law? 
Generally, that means helping guide business owners and companies with the legal aspects and ramifications of running their day-today operations. 

What is General Civil Litigation? 
It is an area of practice that can encompass several areas of Georgia and/or Federal Law such as: Breach of Contract, Landlord/Tenant, Creditor Litigation, Property Disputes, Water run-off matters, Replevin, Quite Title actions, etc.

Do you handle Criminal Law cases? We can and do.

What counties do you handle cases in? 
We handle legal cases in most North Georgia Counties including all counties surrounding Newnan. For other matters we handle cases in most of the surrounding Metro-Atlanta counties. However, we primarily practice in the following counties: Carrol, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Coweta, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Heard, Meriwether, Troup, and Spalding.

What does the firm need to get started on my case? 
A signed Retainer Agreement and a complete retainer deposit.

Several items: 1) Give your lawyers the complete story of your legal matter.; 2) Keep your lawyers informed.; 3) Ask questions.; 4) Trust your lawyer’s insight and opinions; 5) Listen to your lawyer; 6) Prepare for meetings and phone calls with your lawyer.
