J. Richard Palmer, Esq.
Rick is a native of Fayette County and graduated from Fayette County High School in 1985. He then attended and graduated from the University of Georgia and Georgia State Law School. Rick began his law practice in 1993 with Coggin & Palmer, a firm he founded with his grandfather.
Rick practices in the areas of: Corporate law and litigation, general civil litigation, Bankruptcy law, Municipal law, Compliance and Defense. Rick is admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Rick is a member of the following Bars and/or organizations: State Bar of Georgia, Coweta County Chamber of Commerce, Coweta Bar Association and National Association of Bankruptcy Lawyers. Rick is a graduate of Leadership Fayette (1993) and the Coverdell Leadership Institute. Additionally, Rick is also the acting Treasurer for the Coweta Youth Soccer Association and a past director.
Rick currently resides in Newnan with his Wife and two children, Wyatt and Sarah Katherine. Rick is an active baseball and soccer coach.
Brian W. Pettersson, Esq.
Brian graduated from Western Michigan University and Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Brian has been working with law firms in Georgia since 1997. Brian is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia and admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court, Georgia Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Brian has experience in handling and litigating complex civil ligation and Family Law matters. Brian has acted as lead counseled on behalf of Clients during bench and jury trials. Brian has handled real property disputes, title actions, school board hearings, administrative hearings, EEOC proceedings and employment law matters. Additionally, Brian’s also practices in the areas of: Corporate law and litigation, general civil litigation, municipal law, real property law and EEOC compliance and defense.
Brian has worked for law firms in Atlanta, Buckhead, Decatur and Peachtree City. Employment at these firms exposed Brian to hearings, trials and meetings in most metro-Atlanta counties, the Georgia Appeals courts, and the Federal District Court. Brian has also appeared and/or had dealings with The Real Estate Commission, DeKalb County School Board, Fayette County School Board and Administrative Councils.
Brian is a member of the following Bars and/or organizations: State Bar of Georgia, Fayette County Bar Association, Coweta Bar Association and The American Association for Justice, Trout Unlimited and St. Matthews Catholic Church. Brian is a certified and acting Child Support Guardian Ad Litem for the 6th Judicial District of Georgia.
